Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Viktor Lyapkalo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The fruits of passion, which sold at auction in January 2006 for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,934.73).
