In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work Spanish La Sonata by Vicente Palmaroli. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,311.67), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vicente Palmaroli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish In The Studio in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish La Sonata von Vicente Palmaroli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.311,67) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vicente Palmaroli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spanish In The Studio im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.881,18).
