Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work The Letter by Vicente Palmaroli for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,123.71). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vicente Palmaroli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish In The Studio in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).
