In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector, which included the work Looking Out to Sea by Vicente Palmaroli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,786.69), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vicente Palmaroli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish In The Studio in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector durch, in der auch die Arbeit Looking Out to Sea von Vicente Palmaroli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.786,69) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vicente Palmaroli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spanish In The Studio im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.881,18).
