Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Verner Thomé was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Verner Thomé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing Children in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,249.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Verner Thomé kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Verner Thomé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing Children im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.249,56).
