Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A kneeling saint with his arms outspread by Ventura Salimbeni was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,649.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ventura Salimbeni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Clare Repulsing The Saracens From Assisi in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 130,045.15).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.649,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ventura Salimbeni erzielen.
