Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2018. The price achieved of INR 15,000,000.00 (€ 189,437.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 13,000,000.00 – 18,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,092,500.00 (€ 3,464,403.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von INR 15.000.000,00 (€ 189.437,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit INR 13.000.000,00 – 18.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.092.500,00 (€ 3.464.403,62).
