Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,092,500.00 (€ 3,464,403.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 416.806,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.092.500,00 (€ 3.464.403,62).
