Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,205.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,092,500.00 (€ 3,464,403.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.205,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.092.500,00 (€ 3.464.403,62).
