Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,097.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasudeo S. Gaitonde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,092,500.00 (€ 3,464,403.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.097,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasudeo S. Gaitonde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.092.500,00 (€ 3.464.403,62).
