In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons, which included the work Still Life Of Flowers by Vassyl Khmeluk. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,232.59), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vassyl Khmeluk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Young Girl in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,380.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers von Vassyl Khmeluk zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.232,59) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vassyl Khmeluk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.380,79).
