The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,251.65), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasilis Sperantzas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Lovers By The Harbour, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,055.06).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.251,65) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasilis Sperantzas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Lovers By The Harbour beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.055,06) versteigert wurde.
