Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mermaid by Vasilis Sperantzas was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,452.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Vasilis Sperantzas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Lovers By The Harbour in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,055.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mermaid von Vasilis Sperantzas wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.452,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasilis Sperantzas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Lovers By The Harbour im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.055,06).
