Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work American dream by Vasan Sitthiket for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,895.83). This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 65,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vasan Sitthiket have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four essence born from the earth in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 235,500.00 (€ 19,387.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit American dream von Vasan Sitthiket für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.895,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 65.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasan Sitthiket auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four essence born from the earth im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 235.500,00 (€ 19.387,89).
