Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vasan Sitthiket could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work (I) M.R. Kukrit Pramot (Ii) Ho Chi Minh changed hands for HKD 2,500.00 (€ 284.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasan Sitthiket achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four essence born from the earth in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 235,500.00 (€ 19,387.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vasan Sitthiket konnte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit (I) M.R. Kukrit Pramot (Ii) Ho Chi Minh für HKD 2.500,00 (€ 284,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasan Sitthiket erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four essence born from the earth im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 235.500,00 (€ 19.387,89).
