Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Contemporary Sale, which included the work Roman Forum by Valery Koshlyakov. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,469.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valery Koshlyakov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Versailles, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 91,077.98).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Contemporary Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roman Forum von Valery Koshlyakov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.469,33) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Valery Koshlyakov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Versailles beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 91.077,98) versteigert wurde.
