Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Architecture, 1995 by Valery Koshlyakov was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 25,250.00 (€ 30,117.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valery Koshlyakov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Versailles, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 91,077.98).
