Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four works: (i) Film; (ii) Mythen; (iii) Weiche null; (iv) Wort 2 by Uwe Kowski was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,645.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uwe Kowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wäsche in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four works: (i) Film; (ii) Mythen; (iii) Weiche null; (iv) Wort 2 von Uwe Kowski wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.645,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uwe Kowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wäsche im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84).
