The work Unknown by Kitagawa Utamaro II was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. It achieved a price of GBP 537.75 (€ 773.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitagawa Utamaro II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Famous Product: Mount Fuji White Sake (Meibutsu fuji no shirozake) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,099.89).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Kitagawa Utamaro II kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 773,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kitagawa Utamaro II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Famous Product: Mount Fuji White Sake (Meibutsu fuji no shirozake) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.099,89).
