The work Hanamurasaki of the Tamaya House (Tamaya uchi Hanamurasaki) by Kitagawa Utamaro II was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,121.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitagawa Utamaro II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Famous Product: Mount Fuji White Sake (Meibutsu fuji no shirozake) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,099.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Hanamurasaki of the Tamaya House (Tamaya uchi Hanamurasaki) von Kitagawa Utamaro II kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.121,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kitagawa Utamaro II erzielen.
