Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shichifukujin (Seven gods of good fortune at the Koguro paper company, Yokohama): Picture of the view of the railroad along the seashore from the paper company by Utagawa Yoshitora was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2004. Here, the upper estimate of USD 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 418.25 (€ 340.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshitora achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Igirisukoku (England) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,604.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shichifukujin (Seven gods of good fortune at the Koguro paper company, Yokohama): Picture of the view of the railroad along the seashore from the paper company von Utagawa Yoshitora kam im März 2004 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 418,25 (€ 340,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshitora erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Igirisukoku (England) im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.019,00 (€ 4.604,59).
