The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,681.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Utagawa Yoshitora - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Igirisukoku (England), which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,604.59).

Die Arbeit The Actor Ichikawa Ichizo III as Iwami Jutaro von Utagawa Yoshitora kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.681,83) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshitora mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Igirisukoku (England) beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 5.019,00 (€ 4.604,59) versteigert wurde.
