The work The Harp of the Winds by Urushibara Mokuchu was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2011. It achieved a price of USD 1,187.50 (€ 865.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Urushibara Mokuchu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Queen of the night, n.d. in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,783.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Harp of the Winds von Urushibara Mokuchu kam im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.187,50 (€ 865,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Urushibara Mokuchu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Queen of the night, n.d. im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.783,40).
