A top price for Urushibara Mokuchu
This artwork by Urushibara Mokuchu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2006. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Queen of the night, n.d. sold for USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,783.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. This high result makes Queen of the night, n.d. the most expensive artwork by Urushibara Mokuchu that we have observed at auctions so far.
