The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,200.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Umberto Lilloni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Castagneto in May 2000 with an auction result of ITL 30,550,000.00 (€ 26,200.69).

Die Arbeit Paesino sul lago di Costanza von Umberto Lilloni kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.200,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Umberto Lilloni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Castagneto im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 30.550.000,00 (€ 26.200,69).
