Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Carrera De Cuádrigas (The Chariot Race) by Ulpiano Checa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,823.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ulpiano Checa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carnival Eve in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 122,132.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Carrera De Cuádrigas (The Chariot Race) von Ulpiano Checa kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.823,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ulpiano Checa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carnival Eve im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 122.132,62).
