Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow Flowers by U Ngwe Gaing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2020. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,743.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by U Ngwe Gaing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elephants And Trucks With Logs in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellow Flowers von U Ngwe Gaing kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.743,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von U Ngwe Gaing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elephants And Trucks With Logs im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09).
