Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life, Flowers by U Ngwe Gaing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,965.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 240,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Ngwe Gaing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elephants And Trucks With Logs, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life, Flowers von U Ngwe Gaing kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.965,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 240.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von U Ngwe Gaing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elephants And Trucks With Logs beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09) versteigert wurde.
