In April 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art I, which included the work Village House by Tu Ke. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 108,000.00 (€ 10,112.15), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tu Ke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape by the River in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,589.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village House von Tu Ke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 10.112,15) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tu Ke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape by the River im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.589,13).
