In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work The Village Of Nui Chai, Ha Tay Province, Sai Son by Tran Duy. The result of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,172.59) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tran Duy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bambou, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 7,012.50.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Village Of Nui Chai, Ha Tay Province, Sai Son von Tran Duy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.172,59) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tran Duy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bambou beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 7.012,50 versteigert wurde.
