The work On The Road To Chua Thay by Tran Duy was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The result of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,308.74) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tran Duy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bambou, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 7,012.50.

Die Arbeit On The Road To Chua Thay von Tran Duy wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.308,74) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tran Duy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bambou beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 7.012,50 versteigert wurde.
