Upper estimate price exceeded by 37 %.
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Believe in Extraordinary by Tracey Emin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,402.94), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Emin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Bed in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,546,500.00 (€ 3,211,937.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Believe in Extraordinary von Tracey Emin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.402,94) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Emin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Bed im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.546.500,00 (€ 3.211.937,15).
