Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Toyohara Chikanobu for USD 587.50 (€ 673.97). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Chikanobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenes of beauties and farm life in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,763.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Toyohara Chikanobu für USD 587,50 (€ 673,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyohara Chikanobu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenes of beauties and farm life im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.763,12).
