It achieved a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,346.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kotondo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kamisuki (Combing the hair) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,570.72).

Die Arbeit Oboroharu (Misty Spring) von Torii Kotondo kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.346,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kotondo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kamisuki (Combing the hair) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 64.570,72).
