Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Desire by Tony Wong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,950.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chameleon, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 463,500.00 (€ 40,518.38).

Die Arbeit Desire von Tony Wong kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.950,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chameleon beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 463.500,00 (€ 40.518,38) versteigert wurde.
