Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Henter by Tony Lewis for USD 24,200.00 (€ 20,822.58). This price was achieved in the auction Art for One Drop at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work no, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Henter von Tony Lewis für USD 24.200,00 (€ 20.822,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Art for One Drop bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Lewis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit no beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87) versteigert wurde.
