Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Toni Costa could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Landscape - Broken Hill changed hands for AUD 117.50 (€ 69.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 200.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toni Costa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dinamica Visuale in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,973.44).
