Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dinamica Visuale by Toni Costa was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,847.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toni Costa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dinamica Visuale in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,973.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dinamica Visuale von Toni Costa im April 2013 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.847,81) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toni Costa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dinamica Visuale im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.973,44).
