Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plum Blossoms by Tong Yu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,964.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tong Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds And Flowers in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 28,885.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Tong Yu wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.964,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tong Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds And Flowers im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 28.885,50).
