Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fish Among Weeds by Tong Yu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,246.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,500.00 – 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tong Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds And Flowers in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 28,885.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fish Among Weeds von Tong Yu kam im März 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.246,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tong Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds And Flowers im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 28.885,50).
