In October 2021 Christies held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work View of the night-time celebrations for the baptism of the Infanta in Naples, 1740 by Tommaso Ruiz. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,282.55), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tommaso Ruiz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veduta del Porto di Napoli con il Ponte Nuovo, l'edificio dell'Immacolatella e la lanterna del Molo in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 208,250,000.00 (€ 187,169.98).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the night-time celebrations for the baptism of the Infanta in Naples, 1740 von Tommaso Ruiz zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.282,55) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tommaso Ruiz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veduta del Porto di Napoli con il Ponte Nuovo, l'edificio dell'Immacolatella e la lanterna del Molo im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 208.250.000,00 (€ 187.169,98).
