Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Grand Tour Sale, which included the work Naples, looking towards the Castel dell'Ovo with Vesuvius in the distance; and A panoramic view of Naples, looking towards the Castel Sant'Elmo and Posillipo (2) by Tommaso Ruiz. It changed hands for a price of GBP 28,020.00 (€ 33,460.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tommaso Ruiz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veduta del Porto di Napoli con il Ponte Nuovo, l'edificio dell'Immacolatella e la lanterna del Molo in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 208,250,000.00 (€ 187,169.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Grand Tour Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Naples, looking towards the Castel dell'Ovo with Vesuvius in the distance; and A panoramic view of Naples, looking towards the Castel Sant'Elmo and Posillipo (2) von Tommaso Ruiz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 28.020,00 (€ 33.460,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tommaso Ruiz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veduta del Porto di Napoli con il Ponte Nuovo, l'edificio dell'Immacolatella e la lanterna del Molo im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 208.250.000,00 (€ 187.169,98).
