Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,553.50 (€ 1,248.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tommaso de Simone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work H.M.S. Exmouth signalling her arrival at Naples in February 2004 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,052.81).
