Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recession I, 1990 (4) by Tom Slaughter was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 908.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tom Slaughter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hats; and Shoes in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,169.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Recession I, 1990 (4) von Tom Slaughter kam im Dezember 2019 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 908,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Slaughter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hats; and Shoes im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.169,96).
