In April last year Christies in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work Vanity by Thomas Edwin Mostyn. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,915.73), 40% above the upper estimate. Other works by Thomas Edwin Mostyn have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 39,950.00 (€ 40,240.55) in September 2003 for the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.915,73) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Thomas Edwin Mostyn haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.950,00 (€ 40.240,55) im September 2003 für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress beobachtet.
