In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Anstay Cove, Devon by Thomas Edwin Mostyn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,415.11), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Edwin Mostyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress, which sold at auction in September 2003 for GBP 39,950.00 (€ 40,240.55).

Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anstay Cove, Devon von Thomas Edwin Mostyn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.415,11) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Edwin Mostyn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress beobachtet, die im September 2003 für GBP 39.950,00 (€ 40.240,55) versteigert wurde.
