Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tom Coates could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Sunlight on the rooftop of the Palace Hotel, India changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 706.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Coates have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street Scene, Florence in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,986.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Coates konnte im März 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Sunlight on the rooftop of the Palace Hotel, India für GBP 480,00 (€ 706,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Coates auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Street Scene, Florence im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.986,07).
