A top price for Tom Clough - as previously expected

The work Monarchs of the Beechwood by Tom Clough was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,320.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Monarchs of the Beechwood is the most expensive artwork by Tom Clough that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Monarchs of the Beechwood von Tom Clough kam im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.320,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
