Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Todd Webb was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,134.00 (€ 927.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Todd Webb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sixth Avenue between 43rd and 44th Streets, New York in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 31,421.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Todd Webb kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.134,00 (€ 927,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Todd Webb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sixth Avenue between 43rd and 44th Streets, New York im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 31.421,45).
