Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Tempation Of Christ In The Wilderness by Tobias Verhaecht was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,034.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tobias Verhaecht achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountainous River Landscape With Travelers in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 80,779.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Tempation Of Christ In The Wilderness von Tobias Verhaecht im Juli 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.034,93) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tobias Verhaecht erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountainous River Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 80.779,17).
